Counselling FAQs

  • I am a qualified Counsellor based in Sydney, Australia and have a current registration with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). I hold a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology. I am trained in person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, as well as narrative and creative therapies. I also utilise a variety of other interventions based on my clients needs, including mindfulness practice and Christian-based counselling. I have previously worked in hospitals, aged care facilities, and psychology clinics. I practice under the ACA Code of Ethics. I see individuals over the age of 18 in my practice.

  • I offer individual therapy for adults aged 18 and above, available Australia-wide. Sessions are conducted online or over the phone, providing flexible and convenient options tailored to your needs.

  • During your first session, we will discover your reasons for therapy and explore your goals and expectations. This initial meeting helps me understand your individual needs. From this, we can develop a plan to best support you.

  • Each counselling session typically lasts 60 minutes. The duration and frequency of sessions will be discussed and agreed upon during your initial consultation.

  • Yes, all counselling sessions are confidential. I adhere to strict professional and ethical guidelines to ensure your privacy is protected. The only exceptions to confidentiality are if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law.
